T\u00fcm\u00f6rlerin cerrahi rezeksiyonu kemoterapi ve radyoterapi ile birlikte ba\u015fl\u0131ca kanser tedavi y\u00f6ntemlerindendir. Her ne kadar ameliyat \u00f6ncesinde farkl\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme y\u00f6ntemleri ile kanserli b\u00f6lge hakk\u0131nda yap\u0131sal bilgi sa\u011flansa da, ameliyat\u0131n ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde cerrah\u0131n beyaz \u0131\u015f\u0131k alt\u0131nda t\u00fcm\u00f6rleri di\u011fer dokulardan ay\u0131rt etme yetene\u011fine ba\u011fl\u0131d\u0131r. T\u00fcm\u00f6r h\u00fccrelerinin floresan hale getirilmesi ile t\u00fcm\u00f6r ve sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 h\u00fccreler aras\u0131nda g\u00f6rsel bir fark yaratmak, cerrahlar\u0131n t\u00fcm\u00f6r s\u0131n\u0131rlar\u0131n\u0131 belirlemesine olanak tan\u0131r. Protoporfirin IX (PpIX), iyi floresans ve fotosensitizan \u00f6zelliklerine sahip endojen bir florofordur. Normal ko\u015fullar alt\u0131nda, PpIX, mitokondride demir iyonu ile birle\u015ferek son \u00fcr\u00fcn olan heme\u2019ye d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr\u00fcl\u00fcr. D\u0131\u015far\u0131dan verilen y\u00fcksek miktarda ALA bu yola\u011f\u0131 bozarak h\u00fccre i\u00e7erisinde PpIX art\u0131\u015f\u0131na neden olur. Kanser h\u00fccreleri hem belirli enzimlerdeki art\u0131\u015f ve azal\u0131\u015f, hem de demir iyonu eksikli\u011fi nedeniyle normal h\u00fccrelerden daha fazla PpIX \u00fcretme e\u011filiminde oldu\u011fundan, ALA arac\u0131l\u0131 PpIX, t\u00fcm\u00f6r rezeksiyon ameliyatlar\u0131nda t\u00fcm\u00f6r h\u00fccrelerini g\u00f6r\u00fcn\u00fcr hale getirmek veya fotodinamik terapi yoluyla kanser h\u00fccrelerini \u00f6ld\u00fcrmek i\u00e7in kullan\u0131labilir. Bu konu\u015fma, PpIX tabanl\u0131 uygulamalar\u0131n mekanizmas\u0131 ve avantajlar\u0131 ile alandaki son geli\u015fmelere odaklanacakt\u0131r.<\/p>\n
