Fujimoto \u00f6nderli\u011finde bir grup bilim insan\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan tan\u0131t\u0131lan yeni g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme yakla\u015f\u0131mlar\u0131ndan biri Optik Koherens Tomografi (OCT) tekni\u011fidir. Yeni noninvaziv g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme modeli ile biyo-g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme boyalar\u0131na ihtiya\u00e7 duyulmadan biyolojik dokulardan yakla\u015f\u0131k 3 mm derinli\u011fe kadar y\u00fcksek \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fckl\u00fc (1-15 \u03bcm) 3 boyutlu (3D) g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcler elde edilebilir. Bu \u00f6zelliklerinden dolay\u0131 OCT, t\u0131bbi g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme alan\u0131nda tan\u0131sal bir ara\u00e7 olabilecek bir \u00e7ekim noktas\u0131 haline gelmektedir. Dalgaboyu taramal\u0131 OCT (SS-OCT), bu yeni tekni\u011fin daha y\u00fcksek hassasiyet ve daha h\u0131zl\u0131 (MHz) g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme sa\u011flayabilece\u011fini g\u00f6stermektedir. Ayr\u0131ca, lazer kayna\u011f\u0131 eksen \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcn\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc, A-line h\u0131z\u0131, tutarl\u0131l\u0131k uzunlu\u011fu ve hassasiyet seviyesi gibi kritik parametreleri karakterize eder. Bu nedenle lazer kaynaklar\u0131n\u0131n geli\u015fmesiyle birlikte bu g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme modelinin kardiyoloji, ak\u0131m ve perf\u00fczyon, oftalmoloji, elastografi ve \u00f6zellikle endoskopi gibi t\u0131bbi uygulamalarda k\u00f6kl\u00fc de\u011fi\u015fikliklere yol a\u00e7aca\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. Doktora derecesi tez ara\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131nda, prostat y\u00fczeyinde yatan kavern\u00f6z sinirlerin optik stim\u00fclasyonu \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131, k\u0131z\u0131l\u00f6tesi lazer radyasyonu intraoperatif tan\u0131ma ve kavern\u00f6z sinirlerin geleneksel sinir haritalama cihazlar\u0131na korunmas\u0131 i\u00e7in potansiyel bir alternatif olarak kulland\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>Mezun olduktan sonra, optik olarak alt \u00f6rneklenmi\u015f optik koherens tomografi ve h\u0131zl\u0131, faz kararl\u0131 optik koherens tomografi sisteminin geli\u015ftirilmesine y\u00f6nelik yenilik\u00e7i ara\u015ft\u0131rma \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131na kat\u0131lmak i\u00e7in Massachusetts General Hospital ve Harvard Medical School&#8217;daki Wellman Photomedicine Merkezi&#8217;ne kat\u0131ld\u0131. Wellman Center&#8217;da, yemek borusunun kanser \u00f6ncesi bir durumu olan ve yemek borusu kanseri ile ili\u015fkili olan Barrett&#8217;s \u00f6zofagusunun tedavisi i\u00e7in yeni bir aparat kullanarak bir y\u00f6ntem geli\u015ftirmeye de odakland\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>\u015eu anda Dokuz Eyl\u00fcl \u00dcniversitesi&#8217;nde \u00f6\u011fretim \u00fcyesidir ve \u0130zmir Biyot\u0131p ve Genom Merkezi&#8217;nde (\u0130BG) ba\u015f ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131 olarak atanmaktad\u0131r. IBG&#8217;de 2016 y\u0131l\u0131nda Biyofotonik ve Optik G\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme Ara\u015ft\u0131rma Grubu&#8217;nu kurdu.
