Prof. Ahmet Koluman
Ahmet Koluman earned his bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from Ankara University. At the same university, he earned his PhD in Food Hygiene and Technology. Following that, he worked on food irradiation at the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency’s Sarayköy Nuclear Research and Training Center. During the same time, he took part in NATO CBRN training. Later, he began working as an Associate Professor in Pamukkale University’s Biomedical Engineering Department, where he studied microbiology, fast detection, hygiene, and biodefense. He is still employed as a Professor in the same department. As a visiting professor, he has taught undergraduate and graduate students at National Defense University, Eskişehir Technical University, Istanbul University, Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa, and Arel University. He is lecturer of biosensors, biomedical instrumentation, quality management for biomedical engineers, anatomy. His primary areas of expertise are rapid detection systems, validation, verification, quality management, CBRN, and biodefense. In his field of expertise, he has 30 patent applications.
