Dr. Ali Isin is a Part Time Lecturer at Near East University, Biomedical Engineering Department. He is also a Senior Biomedical Engineer at Ministry of Health, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He gained his Bsc Degree (as first in department) at University of Başkent, Ankara, Turkey in Biomedical Engineering. He started his Msc Degree studies at University of Essex, Colchester, United Kingdom in Computer Science-Brain Computer Interfaces and gained the degree at Near East University in Biomedical Engineering. He completed his PhD degree also in Biomedical Engineering at Near East University.
He has 8 years of Lecturer experience at his post at Biomedical Engineering Department of Near East University, teaching lectures and focusing his research as well on Biomedical Image & Signal Processing, AI & Deep Learning in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Imaging, Biomedical Sensors and Biomedical Instrumentation.
He also has 10 years of Professional Biomedical Engineering experience at his post at Ministry of Health. He is a public procurement and tendering expert on medical devices and he is also responsible from the regulation of free movement of medical devices in Northern Cyprus Market, management of medical devices installed in all public hospitals in Northern Cyprus and development and execution of public medical device installation projects.
He is the representative of the Ministry of Health;
– in the joint mission of European Commission and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on “Free Movement of Medical Goods in Northern Cyprus”
– in the joint mission of European Commission and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for drafting “Product Safety Law on Medical Devices”
-in the Market Inspection Committee under “Product Safety Law”
Dr. Ali Işın is also the Chairman of “Biomedical Engineering Committee” of the UCCTEA Chamber of Electrical Engineers, North Cyprus.
