Basak Basar was born in Ankara, Turkey. After successfully completing her bachelor’s studies in Biomedical Engineering, she moved to Germany in order to begin a master’s program in the same field. The work as a research assistant at the Bio-material Laboratory during her master‘s studies was comprised of project coordination of the Bachelor students as well as their scheduling and supervision. Her master’s thesis on scaffold production techniques followed her extensive research on tissue engineering and formed the basis of her textbook. Later on, stepping into the industry, she not only got to deepen her knowledge in imaging systems and the technical „know-how“ but also deliver this in a most effective and concise way in three languages she’s fluent in. Most recently, she has been actively working as a product specialist in the northern part of Germany to assist doctors apply minimal invasive devices in Cardiology, Electrophysiology as well as Vascular Surgery.
