Biomimetic Biomaterials
About the Seminar:
It is known that materials found in nature have many superior properties, and it is thought that there are many features that are waiting to be discovered. Mankind has produced various materials by taking samples from nature in order to make life easier since the early ages. The search for a solution to human problems by examining nature, later continued with biomimetic and biorespiration approaches, and the products created as a result of these approaches have been moved one step further with the help of technological developments. These approaches have been used not only in one area of life, but in many areas from art to architecture, from robotics to tissue engineering. The studies we have conducted on these issues, the scope of biomimetic approaches, their use in biomedical engineering and especially in biomaterial applications have been discussed in detail.
